Things are messing around at Drake
Toronto police have arrested a man who tried to break into rapper Drake’s mansion. According to police, the incident has nothing to do with a shooting that occurred earlier at the house.
There is no motive yet for either incident. Although there may be a link with the rap war with Kendrick Lamar in which Drake is involved. Both rappers accuse each other of all kinds of criminal offenses in new songs. Those diss tracks are all big hits. One of Lamar’s songs, ‘Not like us’, is currently the most streamed song in the world on Spotify. The artwork for the song shows an aerial view… of Drake’s home in Toronto.
Shakira is no longer messing around
The Spanish public prosecutor’s office has asked to dismiss the tax fraud case against Shakira. There would not be enough evidence to prosecute the Colombian singer for the possible tax fraud she committed in 2018.
In July last year, a court in Barcelona started proceedings against the singer. She is said to have evaded taxes through foreign companies in tax havens. The singer then paid a fine of 6.6 million euros to show that she was willing to solve her problems.
In another tax fraud case from 2012 to 2014, Shakira was taken to court, but she reached a last-minute deal with the prosecutor’s office. She then paid a fine of 7.5 million euros.
There was a ruckus at Wittekerke
Rik Verheye grew up in Knokke. This is a stone’s throw from Duinbergen, the location of Wittekerke. One of the actor’s best friends lived behind the corner of Sneyers, Kürt Rogiers’ character.
In the podcast Behind the Scenes, Verheye said that he often drove past Sneyers’ house to shout his name loudly. The production of the TV program did not like that and so Verheye was sent away after a while. “I didn’t know then that you had to be quiet,” he now sounds regretful. (ft, belga)
