After numerous threats and insults on the Facebook page of Baden-Württemberg’s Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann, the State Ministry temporarily removed the page. The site was attacked by so-called “corona rebels and conspiracy ideologists” on Friday evening after the latest release of the green politician’s latest podcast, the State Department press office said on Saturday evening.

More than 4000 posts in 20 hours

“Every second, users posted numerous false statements, conspiracy stories, threats, insults and other criminally relevant content.” In total, more than 4000 comments from the “troublemakers” were received in 20 hours, as it was said. Normal operation of the site was therefore no longer possible.

Kretschmann had apologized on Friday in Youtube in his podcast for the fact that despite the corona regulations at Berlin Tegel Airport, he had not worn a face mask for a short time. He also said: “We have been fighting with Corona for many months. And it is not over yet. Some of the comments on my Facebook page sound different. Some people there say that the pandemic is now largely over and that with the protective measures you don’t have to take it so seriously anymore. I’ll tell you honestly: I’m really concerned about comments like this. ” (best / dpa)

The spontaneous riots in downtown Stuttgart in the night from Saturday to Sunday resulted in a rise of political prominence and the press on Monday. Federal Interior Minister Horst Seehofer is directly confronted with the traces of violence against the police.
