A 60-year-old man on leave from the Klagenfurt prison was at around 3 p.m. yesterday, March 5, at his partner’s house in the St. Veit an der Glan district. The former friend of this woman, 53 years old, who was also there, threatened the day-releaser to stab him in the stomach with a knife and then approached the man with a kitchen knife. However, the 60-year-old managed to repel the attack, although he suffered a laceration. He pinned the attacker to the ground until he calmed down. He then went to the local area, where he was met shortly afterwards by a patrol of the rapid intervention group.
Both were moderately intoxicated
Drugs (cannabis and benzodiazepines) were seized during his search. The freedman was then treated on an outpatient basis in KH Friesach. A breathalyser test revealed that both parties were moderately intoxicated. The freedman was returned to the detention center after his hospital visit. The 53-year-old is also reported to the public prosecutor at large.
