HAARLEM – Two young Amsterdam men who placed a heavy explosive at a Polish supermarket in Beverwijk last June were told that it was a non-functioning projectile that was purely for intimidation. This was stated by both suspects on Monday morning during the handling of their criminal case at the court in Haarlem. In reality, they placed a heavy mine, which experts say can be deadly at a distance of 100 to 150 meters.
