Traffic on Rhônexpress and the T3 tramway was briefly interrupted this Wednesday afternoon, following the attack on a tram driver at Bel-Air station in Villeurbanne.
An ongoing investigation
Shortly before 3:30 p.m., an altercation broke out between the driver of a train and a pedestrian who, according to initial information, crossed the track recklessly.
The tone rose, the two men allegedly came to blows and the pedestrian blocked the tram. Police intervention put an end to the incident and the pedestrian was arrested. The driver, who was not injured, filed a complaint. An investigation is underway to clarify the precise course of events.
