After an attack on a post office on Breslauer Strasse, the Darmstadt criminal police took over the investigation and is looking for witnesses who noticed the as yet unknown perpetrator before the crime or during his escape.
Initial findings indicate that a man entered around 10:40 a.m. on Thursday
(21.) the branch and asked for cash. In order to emphasize this demand, he pushed the 46-year-old employee to the ground and is said to have used a stun gun, among other things. The 46-year-old was injured and taken to a nearby hospital. With around 1,000 euros in cash, he then went in an unknown direction. An immediately initiated manhunt with several patrols and the police helicopter has so far been unsuccessful.
The criminal is said to have been around 50 years old and around 1.70 meters tall.
At the time of the attack, he was wearing a dark winter jacket, a dark woolen hat and a surgical mask.
Witnesses who noticed the person described in the vicinity of the crime scene are asked to report to Kommissariat 10 in Darmstadt on 06151 / 969-0.
