A “member of the PKK” is, according to the Turkish Ministry of the Interior, one of the perpetrators of the attack on an aviation industry in Ankara that resulted in five people losing their lives.
“We are revealing the identity of one of the men neutralized in the terrorist attack that took place at TUSAS. It is Ali Orek, who had the code name Rojger, a member of the PKK.” announced the minister Ali Gerlikaya.
According to the CNN Turkthe process of identifying the rest of the perpetrators is ongoing.
“I wish a speedy recovery to our wounded. No terrorist attack can intimidate us,” Gerlikaya said.
“We bombed 32 PKK targets”
In the early hours of Thursday it was announced that they were bombed “32 goals” – his positions PKK and its allies in northern Iraq and Syria.
“As permitted by our right to self-defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, an air operation was conducted against terrorist targets in northern Iraq and Syria (…) and a total of 32 terrorist targets were successfully destroyed”, the Ministry of Defense said, clarifying that “air operations are continuing”.
