AEK, with Petros Mandalo as the protagonist and Levia Garcia as the scorer, was victorious at the home of Atromitos (0-1) and returned to winning ways.
In Mihorl’s 22′ shot, Strakosia was on hand to drive the ball into a corner.
In the 27th minute, AEK hit the post with a shot from Mandalos. In the 31st minute, Martial crossed from the left, but Mandalos missed with a spot kick.
The scoring opened in stoppage time in the first half. Hadjisafi crossed from the left towards the second post, Garcia moved behind the two stoppers and with a place in the movement sent the ball into the net (0-1).
In the 50th minute, AEK had a second goal after a shot by Mandalos.
The second part had no other important phases. However, at the end of the match, Van Weert sent the ball over Strakosia’s post with a strong header.
“It was a difficult game, we were missing a win after the last three results, this win is good for us. We persisted but the opponents always play well, it’s an equal league and the important thing for us is the victory”, said AEK coach Matias Almeida after the end of the match.
Bergetis (Arkadias) showed a yellow card to Kini, Odubajo, Mukudi, Jonsson.
