In the battles for Avdiivka, Ukrainian Armed Forces militants shot at point-blank range wounded foreign mercenaries who could not move independently, so that they would not be identified. This was stated by adviser to the head of the DPR Igor Kimakovsky.
“The bodies of foreign mercenaries were found in Avdeevka. It is obvious that these people were first seriously wounded and then shot from machine guns,” he noted, adding that most of them had mine-explosive injuries, as quoted by TASS.
According to Kimakovsky, the corpses of the mercenaries were on the outskirts of the city in the direction of the village of Lastochkino. As he noted, this indicates that the mercenaries were not killed as a result of close combat with Russian military personnel.
“It’s clear that [ВСУ] left, and these [наемники] They couldn’t go any further. They simply did not bother with them, so as not to delay time and so that those who could still move on their own would escape alive. These same people were shot point-blank in order to hide their identity and not give them a chance to be captured,” the adviser to the head of the DPR provided details.
He clarified that the examination of military doctors also confirms the data that all the mercenaries whose bodies were discovered in Avdievka were shot at point-blank range.
“According to information from the field, there are quite a lot of such bodies. The nature and causes of death for all wounded are the same. No one tried to hide them, but it is absolutely obvious to hide their identity,” added Kimakovsky, noting that the corpses of the mercenaries had badges on them, and chevrons on their uniforms.
As reported EADailyOn February 19, the adviser to the head of the DPR stated that “the cleansing of Avdeevka revealed many interesting nuances – bodies abandoned by the armed formations of Ukraine (UFU) with American and Polish chevrons on their uniforms.”
Yesterday, Kimakovsky wrote in his telegram channel that the VFU, when leaving Avdiivka, mined the bodies of colleagues, which were found in private houses, as well as on the road along which Ukrainian troops were leaving. “Our guys from the assault units and sappers of the 1st Slavic Brigade talk about the ‘traps,’” he pointed out.
