ATP: Roger Federer loses four places in the standings

PARIS – Roger Federer, out of top-10 ATP last week, fell again four places, to 15th place, in the ranking published on Monday, still dominated by Novak Djokovic.

The Swiss, who has not played since his quarter-final at Wimbledon on July 7, continues to drag a right knee injury that keeps him away from the courts.

He was overtaken by the Italian Jannik Sinner (11th, +2), the Canadians Felix Auger-Aliassime (12th) and Denis Shapovalov (13th, +2), and the Briton Cameron Norrie (14th, +2).

Sinner, just winner of the Antwerp tournament, reached the best ranking of his career there, just like Norrie, crowned at Indian Wells a week earlier, and the Norwegian Casper Ruud, new 8th in the world to the detriment of Dominic Thiem.

Russian Aslan Karatsev, winner of the Moscow tournament, at 28 made his first foray into the top-20 (19e, +3).
