Atp Montecarlo: the program for Wednesday 13 April. Sinner, Sonego and Musetti

Three Italians on the pitch in the Principality: the Turin player plays against Djere, the Spaniard returns to the field after the final in Miami and faces Korda. Contemporary risk for Jannik and Lorenzo

The Wednesday of great tennis in Montecarlo will begin with Carlos Alcaraz and Lorenzo Sonego. The Spaniard returns to the field after his success in Miami and will face Sebastian Korda in the first match on the Ranieri III which is also the remake of the Next Gen final in Milan, won by the Spaniard. Sonego is looking for the success that would lead him to face Stefanos Tsitsipas – the Greek yesterday beat Fabio Fognini, 6-3 6-0 – in the round of 16: the opponent of the Turin tennis player is the Serbian Laslo Djere, number 62 in the world. The match will open the program on field 2 and will start at 11 am.

Sinner e Musetti

Sonego will not be the only Italian on the field today. Eyes also focused on Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti, with the real risk that the two games overlap: the South Tyrolean will play against Emil Ruusuvuori in the third match at Court de Princers, the tennis player from Carrara will face Auger-Aliassime – head serial number 6 – always in the third match but on the main court, the Ranieri III. Sinner and Musetti will take the field no earlier than 2pm.

The day

The Ranieri III program is completed by Ruud-Rune (second match) and Delbonis-Zverev (fourth), in the middle there will be Musetti’s match. At the Courte des Princes there will be Norrie against Ramos-Vinolas at 11, then Fritz-Cilic, Sinner-Ruusuvuori and Rublev-De Minaur (whoever wins this match would face Jannik in the second round). On field 2, after Sonego-Djere, here is Goffin-Evans and then Fucsovics-Schwartzman; on field 9 – not before 12.30 – Hurkacz against Martinez and Carreno Busta against Bublik.
