Many ex‐champions expressed their disagreement with the Swede’s comments. One of these reactions is quite symbolic since it comes from Alexandr Dolgopolov, engaged in his country’s army and who had not spoken about tennis for a long time.

My opinion probably has no value but I completely disagree, the big three had a much higher level of understanding, proposing changes of pace, angles, variations in terms of ball height and frankly what whatever happens I would never choose today’s champions. »
