ATP Finals 2024: Everything about players, format, prize money & TV

am 4. November 2024 at 10:15

The men’s season finale, the ATP Finals 2024, will take place in mid-November. Here you will find all information about the tennis tournament: players, format, prize money, points & TV broadcast.

Where and when will the 2024 ATP Finals take place?

The ATP Finals will be held in Turin from November 10th to 17th. This serves as a venue Alpitour shovela multi-purpose hall that can accommodate 12,000 spectators for tennis. The tennis tournament took place in London from 2009 to 2020. The WTA Finals, however, will be played in Saudi Arabia.

What format will be played at the ATP Finals 2024?

In the singles and doubles competition, two groups of four players/four doubles will be formed. The two top seeds lead the tableaus. (The player seeded 1 leads group A, so to speak, the player seeded 2 leads group B, all other players are drawn.) In group mode, each player/team has three games – so everyone plays against everyone else within the group .

The two players/pairings with the most wins (with the same number of wins, the games won decide) in each group qualify for the semi-finals. From here onwards the game will be played in KO mode. Means: Whoever loses is out.

The individual competition is played in best-of-3 mode, including in the final. In doubles it goes over two sets. If the score is 1:1 after sets, a match tiebreak decides. As with the other ATP tournaments, the “no-ad” rule applies in doubles, so it is played without an advantage.

ATP Finals 2024: Which players are there?

This year Jannik Sinner will be number one in front of his home audience. In contrast, there is still a question mark over Novak Djokovic’s participation, as he could still slip out of the top 8. Around a week before the start of the tournament, only the top 5 in the singles world rankings are certain to have qualified, but in doubles the entire field of participants has been determined.
