Atonement for us – Salihot’s travels in Jerusalem

The month of Elul began yesterday, and the Jerusalem Municipality is already ready to receive the visitors and pilgrims who are expected to arrive in the capital city from all over the country and the world. Today, forgiveness events and walks begin across the capital, which will last until October 10.

Here’s a partial breakdown:

12.9 – Beit Ha’am: At Sha’are Retzon: presentation of musical instruments and poems for the month of Elul.

18.9 – Beit Ha’am: Presentation of Salihot Tzorm Haiva by Eli Luzon and Hihiel Nahari

23.9 – Beit Ha’am: the show of forgiveness ‘Nasfa’

26.9 – Piss Pisgat Ze’ev Culture Hall: ‘Tashlich’ – Shuli Rand

28.9 – Buildings of the Nation: First Forgiveness by Yitzhak Meir

30.9 – Hafis Arena Hall: Yeshi Rivo

10.10 – Final Forgiveness – “Lord of Forgiveness” – East and West Orchestra conducted by Tom Cohen.

Most city events are held for a nominal fee and some benefit Jerusalem card holders. All events are published on the special website of Silihot Municipality Jerusalem: Jerusalem – a meeting of the culture and spirit of the Municipality of Jerusalem (jerusalem.muni.il)

The Mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Leon: “Jerusalem is a beacon of hope and resilience and has been the heart of the Jewish people for over 3,000 years. This year, the city will be the focus of the prayers and hopes of many Israelis and Jews from around the world for the new year, for the release of the kidnapped, for the healing of the wounded and for peace of IDF soldiers and security forces”.
