Atomic Heart will offer 12 weapons

Robert Bagratuni, Game Director of Atomic Heart from Mundifsh Studios, spoke during an interview about the duration and how many types of weapons we will be able to use in the expected first-person shooter.

Bagratuni estimated that it would take between 20 and 25 hours to get to the end credits of Atomic Heart, focusing on the main campaign. However, given the presence of various optional activities, it can take players up to 35–40 hours to complete the entire passage. In any case, this is a general assessment, and as usual in such cases, a lot also depends on the pace of the player.

“To complete the main story campaign, players will need about 20-25 hours,” said the game director. “But since the world of Atomic Heart is quite large and filled with various tasks, it will take much more time to complete everything. It’s really hard to give an exact figure, but I can imagine that the game itself can take about 35-40 hours to complete everything.

As for the tools of death available to the player, Bragatuni reveals that there will be 12 different categories of weapons in Atomic Heart, with each one available for “various types of upgrades and several skill trees“. In a word, diversity should not be absent.

“There will be 12 weapons in total, and for each of them there are different types of upgrades and several skill trees. To improve your arsenal, you will have to collect components by searching every piece of furniture, equipment and corpses around. When you have enough components, you can use the NORA crafting machine, whose artificial intelligence will surprise you with cheeky behavior. You will be able to create projectiles, add elemental effects to them and create other things.

Atomic Heart will be available on February 21, 2023 and on PS5 and PS4. It will be included in the PC and Xbox Game Pass catalog at launch.
