Atomic Heart Game Review Summary

A promising-looking FPS from developers Mundfish is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series consoles tomorrow.

What marks does the game receive from foreign reviewers? You can find the answer below.

GamingTrend

2023 already has a number of strong contenders for game of the year, and Atomic Heart is another one of them. The game lives up to all expectations and is an amazing gaming debut for Mundfish. It’s almost impossible to single out a few things that Atomic Heart is phenomenal at, because they’re exceptional in just about all of them. Not only is it my favorite game of the year, but possibly one of my favorite games of the decade.

Hobby Consoles

Despite its minor technical flaws, Atomic Heart is a fun, effective and intense shooter that will amaze fans of the genre with a desire for a good story.

PSX Brazil

Atomic Heart has several fun elements that will keep players in suspense from start to finish. Although it has some technical problems, they are bearable in the face of the resulting work, which delivers much more than players expect. Varied combat, plenty of exploration, and clever puzzles are just some of the points that make this game a must-have for PS5 owners.

SpazioGames

Atomic Heart is a brilliant game that manages to combine a number of popular game mechanics in its own way, after trying which you will only wonder how and when this universe will be expanded in the future.

Meristation

Atomic Heart is a game with an identity and some great elements, but its flaws prevent it from drawing the player into the story. The game could have been much better.

Attack of the Fanboy

Atomic Heart may not break new ground, but the concepts it borrows from other games make it heart-pounding fun.

Checkpoint Gaming

Atomic Heart is a compelling and exciting sci-fi action RPG with a unique and well-crafted environment. Although it has its flaws, from slow pacing to occasionally annoying combat, Atomic Heart’s exciting mysteries make it worth playing through. For fans of action RPGs with a penchant for alternate history settings, the novelty is definitely worth it, and I look forward to what development studio Mundfish has to offer in the future.

GameSpew

Atomic Heart has a lot to offer, but its unique environment, diverse gameplay and often inventive enemies will keep you engaged as you journey through a ruined utopia. Just keep in mind that although the game looks like a AAA game, it’s not; Mundfish has achieved great success here, but there are obvious signs of cut content and considerable slackness. So you might want to wait for a patch or two to fix some unfortunate bugs and other bugs,

PushSquare

This blend of shooter, stealth and RPG proudly claims its inspirations, but rarely lives up to them. The alternate history setting is interesting and there are plenty of ways to approach killing robots, but these elements are at odds with the chaotic narrative and character characterization.

60 %

WellPlayed

Atomic Heart manages the aesthetics impressively and occasionally gives you the tools to enjoy its world, but the unstable console execution, disappointing systems, and completely botched script keep its strengths from really shining.

55 %

GamesRadar+

Atomic Heart has a lot of great ideas, but it doesn’t do a good enough job with the bare basics. With an incomprehensibly poor story, inconsequential combat, and frustrating first-person movement, Atomic Heart remains overshadowed by the video games that so clearly inspired it.

50 %

Twinfinite

Despite the promising combat system, as well as the support systems behind it in terms of skills, crafting and upgrades, there are also a few frustrating aspects that hold the game back. The hope is that Mundfish can fix some of the more glaring issues after launch, but right now the game looks less like a welcome revolution and more like a nuclear disaster.
