The Atom electric vehicle project was announced in 2021, and the name was chosen in November 2022. In May 2023, the first functional prototype was presented in Moscow. An electric car with a range of 500 km can accelerate to 100 km/h in 7 seconds.
Kama, the manufacturer of Atom, was founded in August 2021. The main investors of the project were Sergey Kogogin, general director of the Kamaz enterprise, and Ruben Vardanyan, founder and former owner of Troika Dialog investment company.
