Atlético is negotiating the sale of Argentine striker Cristian Pavón to Grêmio. At 28 years old, the winger is a reserve for coach Luiz Felipe Scolari’s team, known as Felipão, and welcomes the eventual transfer.
The information was initially published by the channel Bica Galo and confirmed by No Attack this Wednesday (14/2). At this moment, the tendency is for the parties to reach an agreement and close the deal.
Pavón has a contract with Atlético until June 2025. He arrived at the black and white club in July 2022 and, since then, has alternated between the starting lineup and the bench.
So far, the former Boca Juniors player has played 72 matches with the Atletico shirt – 42 of them as a starter. He has five goals and 12 assists.
In 2024, Pavón has played little. He played four games – all coming off the bench – and provided one pass for a goal.
