O Atlético-MG met this afternoon (6) his opponent in the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil. To reach the semifinals, Galo will have to pass Fluminense, a rival who became known this Friday, in a draw held at the headquarters of the Brazilian Confederation of Football (CBF). The first game will take place in Rio de Janeiro and the back in Belo Horizonte.
The draw defined the switch until the end of the competition and whoever qualifies, Atlético-MG or Fluminense, will face the São Paulo x Fortaleza winner.
The matches between Galo and Tricolor will take place on the 25th and 1st of September.
On the other side of the switch are Santos and Athletico-PR, Guild and Flamengo.

So far Atlético-MG has already collected R$7.85 million with their rankings in the competition. When passing through Remo, in the third phase, Alvinegro received R$ 1.7 million. Eliminating Bahia, another R$2.7 million went into Galo’s coffers. As one of the clubs in the quarterfinals, the Minas Gerais team will add another R$ 3.45 million.
