The accounts of Atlético-MG were blocked by the Justice this Wednesday (31) for a debt with the idol Ronaldinho Gaúcho, according to Itatiaia. The club made an agreement with the former player in 2021 and still owes R$ 4.4 million.
The amount comes from 2014 and should be paid, according to the agreement, until October of this year. The installments, of R$ 200 thousand, stopped being paid in November last year.
The first account blocking request was made last week, in the amount of R$ 8.4 million. The club managed to reverse the decision, proving that it had already paid off part of the debt, and the final amount was R$ 4.4 million.
The debt refers to non-payment of image rights. Ronaldinho played for Atlético-MG between 2012 and 2014, and won a Campeonato Mineiro, a Recopa Sudamericana and a Libertadores.
