A versatile player
Born and raised in Elche, Saul started his career at Real Madrid before moving to the Rojiblancos aged 14. After playing three years with Atlético B and a season on loan at Rayo Vallecano, he broke into the Atlético first team in 2014. He has since played 340 games for the club in all competitions, contributing 43 goals and 20 assists. The 27-year-old has also managed to gain international recognition, making 19 appearances for La Roja and contributing to three goals for his country.
