Liverpool realize Atletico Madrid game has changed. But Jürgen Klopp reminds them they’re still just as savage.
Liverpool visit Atletico Madrid headquarters, Wednesday (20/10/2021) early morning WIB on Matchday 3 Champions League. ‘The Reds’ will next turn to host Atletico at Anfield on Matchday 4, so these two meetings will be crucial in their chances of qualifying quickly.
However Atletico Madrid never an easy opponent. Mohamed Salah et al lost home and away in the last 16 of the 2019/2020 season, lost 0-1 at the Wanda Metropolitano and then lost 2-3 at Anfield.
Manager Liverpool Jürgen Klopp until he was annoyed with Atletico at that time, highlighting his opponent’s playing style which was indeed very defensive. But this time Atletico came armed with a different approach.
