“Girona” Ukrainians Viktor Tsygankov and Artem Dovbyk conceded away “Atletico” in the central match of the 31st round of the Spanish La Liga. The match at the “Metropolitano” stadium in Madrid ended with a score of 3:1.
The guests took the lead in the 4th minute of the match. Dovbik at the far post sent the ball into the empty net from close range after Ian Couta’s cross from the right wing.
For Dovbyk, this is the 17th scored goal of this Premier League season. The Ukrainian forward now single-handedly leads the scoring race in La Liga. His closest pursuers, Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham and Osasuna’s Ante Budimir, have 16 goals each.
However, then Diego Simeone’s team staged a comeback, scoring three unanswered goals against the opponent. In the 34th minute, he converted the penalty Antoine Griezmannand just before the break he brought the “mattress players” ahead Angel Correa.
In the second half, “Atletico” removed the question about the winner of the match. In the 50th minute, Griezmann scored a double.
It should be noted that Dovbyk started in the starting line-up of “Girona” and spent 83 minutes on the field, after which he was replaced by Christian Stuani. But another Ukrainian, midfielder Viktor Tsygankov, was left out of the application for the match with “Atletico” due to damage.
