The company, formerly known as “Twitter,” claims in its lawsuit before the San Francisco Supreme Court that Atlas Exploration violated the lease contract signed between the two sides, in April 2021, on a property at 650 California Street, in the Financial District.
But Atlas, formerly known as Point Up Inc, markets itself as an “invitation-only card” that gives members exclusive access to dining and travel.
Likewise, “X” considered that Atlas owed it more than $340,263 in rent from September to November of last year, and accused it of failing to pay any of its early termination fees.
Kevin Hale, the attorney who represented Atlas in the dispute, did not respond to a request for comment.ReutersHe said in a letter to X in April that the company was unfairly charging rent for certain months last year, after Atlas had already made payments for its new office space.
X also faced a host of legal actions over unpaid rent and other bills after Musk bought the company for $44 billion last October.
