Atlas Copco is looking for some 170 workers and employees for the R&D and production site in Wilrijk. About 3,000 people now work in Wilrijk. There are 25 vacancies in the international distribution center in Hoeselt, which has approximately 250 employees. The sales department in Overijse, which currently employs approximately 170 people, is looking for 16 new people.
Atlas Copco is mainly looking for engineers, IT profiles, data analysts, but also maintenance technicians, warehouse workers and mechanics. Workers do not necessarily have to be technically trained, it says.
Atlas Copco grew strongly worldwide during the corona crisis, with increasing demand for industrial compressors, among other things. In the second quarter of 2021, Atlas Copco Group’s global orders grew by 54 percent.
Since the beginning of this year, Atlas Copco has already been able to recruit more than 200 employees in Belgium. The company supplies compressed air applications to hospitals, the pharmaceutical and food industries.
