The Atlantic Ultraviolet RRD12-1S UV Germicidal Water Treatment Bulb is a 12-watt germicidal UVC bulb that has an overall length of 9.17″. With a lamp power of 12 watts, the replacement bulb is a generic OEM replacement part that has a rated life of 10,000 hours. We recommend that after the stated hours, it is best to replace the lamp bulb even if it continues to emit light. The UVC lamp bulb has a four-pin base style on one end only and a maximum output of 253.7 nm. This short wavelength alters the genetics of microorganisms and renders them unable to reproduce.
