“Atlanta” is probably one of the best FX series currently. But his creative process is long. While season 2 was broadcast in 2018, it will be necessary to wait until 2021 to see season 3. All the same, good news, season 4 is already scheduled and should also be released in 2021.
In 2016 we discovered a new image of Donald Glover. After seeing him especially in a comic genre (Community from 2009 to 2014), series Atlanta allowed to see Donald Glover as an atypical and talented artist. His own creation which he ensures the production, the writing and the realization (with other interesting personalities, like Hiro Murai who realizes the majority of the episodes). We follow Earn who tries to break into the Atlanta rap scene by producing his cousin. From this simplistic synopsis Glover drew an original and rich work in its manner of questioning the report with the celebrity of a group of African-Americans.
If the first season had marked us in 2016, it was not until 2018 to see the arrival of a season 2 on FX. We expected that 2020 would allow us to see a new batch of episodes, but that will ultimately not be the case.
Two seasonsAtlanta coming in 2021
Recently, FX President John Landgraf announced (via Indiwire) than the chain intends to film successively two next seasons ofAtlanta. And above all, that these should have more episodes than expected. Because if Glover originally started over two seasons of eight episodes, it would seem that he finally has enough material to seasons of ten episodes. Result, we will have to wait even more. But rest assured, a date is already in sight.
If all goes well, season 3 is scheduled to start in January 2021. Then, season 4 should be released soon after, probably fall 2021. The objective is therefore to take a break of less than a year between the two seasons. Therefore, even if the wait has been long since the end of season 2 of Atlanta, the idea of being able to discover two seasons soon in the same year is really fun.
