“Atlanta Medical”: ProSieben brings back doctor series in September – New episodes of the third season as a German premiere in the Mediziner-Block

On Wednesday yesterday, ProSieben held its “emergency evening” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Seattle Firefighters – The Young Heroes” restarted. For the time being, the station shows repetitions of the “Firefighters” afterwards. From September 23, however, ProSieben will also be sending another series with German premieres into the race at 10.15 pm: the continuation of the third season of “Atlanta Medical” (Originaltitel: “The Resident”).

ProSieben had last shown its third season in August – but on a broadcast slot an hour earlier. Nine more episodes are still pending here. Due to the short break from broadcasting, the series three-pack should then expire at about the same time at the end of this broadcast block.

With the broadcast of its evening at “Grey’s” yesterday, ProSieben was able to distinguish itself against competitor VOX with a double pack “The Good Doctor”, “Chicago Med” and “New Amsterdam” is already in a state of flux again at the start of broadcasting this new programming block (TV wishlist reported).

In the USA, by the way, all six formats have been extended for another season, even if the start of broadcasting is delayed due to Corona: “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Seattle Firefighters”, “Atlanta Medical”, “The Good Doctor”, “Chicago Med” and “New Amsterdam”.

And so “Atlanta Medical” continues

In Atlanta Medical’s first new episode, “Just One Hour,” Nic (Emily VanCamp) and Mina (Shaunette Renée Wilson) do volunteer service at a remote rural hospital three hours from Atlanta. When a patient is admitted with an artificial heart, it quickly becomes apparent that a failed battery is causing their problems. But a replacement is most likely to be found in Atlanta. There are numerous other challenges along the way. Meanwhile, Conrad (Matt Czuchry) receives a cryptic phone call from his former patient Archer (Rick Holmes), suggesting that he is planning his suicide. Devon’s (Manish Dayal) VIP patient Nadine (Shazi Raja) returns to Chastain with a minor head injury …
