Threatened with suspension for breaches of his anti-doping whereabouts, sprinter Mouhamadou Fall will not be aligned in the 4x100m relay of the French team at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, announced Thursday the director of the high performance of the Blues Romain Barras.
“We have no restrictions from the French Anti-Doping Agency (AFLD) for him not to run, but we have made the decision with the relay officials that Mouhamadou Fall does not participate in the 4x100m”, indicated Barras in a press briefing, where he specified that the runner would, on the other hand, be aligned with the 200 m individually.
The 200m heats take place on July 18, the 4x100m heats on July 23
Triple French champion in the 100m, Mouhamadou Fall (30) is threatened with a suspension for three breaches of his anti-doping location obligations in less than a year, the case still being studied. His results at the Eugene Worlds risk being canceled after the competition. “Fall will warm up with the group because he is part of the relay adventure”, wanted to add Barras.

Another usual member of the tricolor relay, Amaury Golitin has already been provisionally suspended by the AFLD for similar breaches and a suspicion of document falsification, and is therefore not present in the United States where the competitions begin on Friday.
