After three test meetings with consistently very wide litters, Weißhaidinger didn’t get to the point on Saturday. “When I warmed up, I still had a good feeling. But if you then want to add a little more, the shot sometimes backfires. I tried to fight, but I didn’t find the right sensitivity, ”the Upper Austrian was not satisfied with his performance.
“Kristjan threw very well. The U23 world record (68.75 m / note) has given him a lot of confidence, ”he said of the winner. The meeting in the Olympic Center in St. Pölten was the start of a five-part series. Weißhaidinger and Ceh will meet again on Thursday in Eisenstadt. Further stops at the Austrian Top Meeting are Vienna, Graz and Andorf.
