Athletics: Stefan Holm reported for assault: “Fire to”

It was in connection with 47-year-old Holm doing his first day as a substitute teacher that the incident occurred, which NWT was the first to report.

Three students wanted to sit in an armchair in the classroom during a messy lesson. Holm made the students move when a fourth student sat down in the armchair.

– And then I was so stupid that I grabbed him by the upper arms at the height of the armpits and dragged him to the front of the classroom, says Holm to NWT.

“I did wrong”

There was a discussion which, according to Holm, ended with the student trying to run out of the classroom.

– I managed to catch him and put him in the same place again, says Holm.

The principal of the school in question tells Nya Wermlands-Tidningen that a police report was made for assault during the morning.

– I’ve felt bad since it happened, I should have picked up the principal or another adult and asked for help instead, says Holm to SVT Värmland.

He continues:

– I don’t blame the school, it was me who made a mistake.

The press contact at the police in the Bergslagen region tells SVT Sport that the matter is confidential and that nothing can be said about the case.

Holm won Olympic gold in Athens in 2004 and trains, among other things, son Melwin Lycke Holm, 19.
