Athletes in Action is a global community for developing athletes physically, mentally and spiritually.
Athletes in Action (AIA) took root in Madagascar in 2021, bringing with it a unique approach to supporting athletes. It is an international Christian organization that aims to meet the holistic needs of athletes, going beyond the physical sphere to encompass the mental and spiritual dimensions. With over 50 years of experience, AIA creates a global community where athletes and coaches can grow and find purpose throughout their careers. The objective is to develop complete athletes, not only efficient on the field, but also exemplary in their behavior, their state of mind, and capable of exerting a positive influence in their teams and communities.
« We promote sports chaplaincy », explains Robison Corinne Vololomanga, national coordinator of AIA in Madagascar. “Every person convinced of the connection between belief in God and sport is concerned. To succeed in this project, we support athletes throughout their career, strengthening their faith and helping them to live their sporting life under the aegis of this belief. A complete athlete distinguishes himself not only by his performance, but also by his behavior, his state of mind, and exerts positive influences on his colleagues,” she continued. AIA Madagascar collaborates with several clubs and federations, including the Vakinankaratra Basketball League, the Tana Ville basketball section, Formation Basket-Ball Ambohimanga, Fc Nisi, Club Accacia, and the Fédération Internationale des Sports à Madagascar. A union that reinforces the positive impact of sport in Malagasy society. In short, AIA offers much more than sports support, it is committed to shaping lifelong leaders, with a reach that extends from local teams to the most remote regions of the world. Joining this community means embracing a vision where sport becomes a means of personal, social and spiritual growth.
