/ world today news/ Greece has agreed to pay the next installment of its debt to the IMF on April 9.
This was announced by the director of the fund, Christina Lagarde, after a meeting in Washington with Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis.
“Vauroufakis and I exchanged views on current events and both agreed that effective cooperation is in our interests. We noted that continued uncertainty is not in Greece’s interest and I welcomed the minister’s confirmation that paying off part of the fund’s debt would will be carried out on April 9,” Lagarde noted.
