Athena Strand: – I was going to get a Christmas present

On December 2, seven-year-old Athena Strand was found dead in Paradise, Texas, USA.

Panicking

During questioning, the professional driver said he walked away from Athena when he was supposed to deliver the package.

Fearing that the girl would tell her parents what had happened, he made her get into the car.

There he killed her, he said.

During a recent press conference, Gandy said the delivery boy deprived her of the opportunity to watch her daughter grow up.

“She loved to dance, sing – and she loved all animals,” she said.

Maitlyn Gandy lives in Oklahoma and her daughter was supposed to visit her right after Christmas.

Disappeared after an argument

Athena was reported missing on Wednesday afternoon last week after her stepmother discovered she was not in her room.

After searching for the seven-year-old for an hour, she contacted the police.

According to People, the two allegedly fought shortly before Athena went missing, Wise County Sheriff Lane Akin said.

– After the discussion, the stepmother went to arrange dinner, but when she went to get Athena, she was not in her room, continued Akin.

Looking for answers

Now investigators are trying to find out exactly what happened from when Athena went missing, until she was found dead two days later along the Trinity River, about seven miles from her home.

Shortly after Athena was found, the courier was arrested.

Giant bail

The delivery boy is now facing charges of premeditated murder and kidnapping.

The person is in custody on bail of 1.5 million dollars, which is almost 15 million crowns.

Maitlyn Gandy has shared a series of emotional tributes to her daughter.

On Facebook he writes that “no one deserves what happened to you”.
