As part of a unique project, Atelier danse took 12 of its students to New York to take lessons at the Broadway Dance Center school. A great first for many of them. And the opportunity to live their dream as a dancer in the world capital of entertainment.
During their stay, all the participants had the opportunity to take part in courses taught by internationally renowned teachers, who allowed them to deepen their skills, learn new techniques and discover new styles. Rubbing shoulders with other dancers from all over the world was also a very enriching experience.
A long cultural tour of New York
This trip was also an opportunity to discover “The city that never sleeps”. Thanks to the funds raised during a raffle, they were able to attend a musical on Broadway, visit the One World Trade Center and walk the aisles of the famous Museum of Natural History. The dancers then had time to discover the iconic sites of the city such as the Statue of Liberty, Times Square and Central Park. The moments of relaxation and discovery that punctuated this adventure thus made it possible to strengthen the bonds between the dancers.
The dancers ready for the start of the school year
The return to Lyon marked the end of the trip. But the memory of this unique experience will remain engraved in their memory. The young dancers are now ready and full of enthusiasm for the return to school which will take place on Monday, September 11 at the Atelier danse school located rue de la Liberation.
