Bulgaria will provide military-technical assistance to Ukraine – this proposal of “Democratic Bulgaria” will be voted on next week. I am sure that there is a majority to give a mandate to the cabinet to provide assistance according to our capabilities, even symbolic, said the co-chairman of the DB Atanas Atanasov to BTV. The draft decision for this was submitted on Friday.

Each parliamentary group will make its own decision. My personal opinion is that we really need to support Ukraine in all possible ways. I personally would support such a decision, but it is still up to the parliamentary group, and we need to discuss exactly how we can help Ukraine in these difficult times. “

What started in SANS is commendable. It’s high time to clean up. There are people in our destiny who work for the Russians, they must be exposed and punished, commented the head of the internal commission.

Our intelligence services were inadequate at the beginning of the war. They came and said in parliament that there would be no war. There are serious deficiencies in the sources of information about our services. This problem was generated during Borissov’s time, when it was important for the services to be put to sleep so as not to expose corruption schemes. I hope the new leaders will change it, Atanasov commented. He stressed that the new bosses are very recent.

I know for sure that this is the result of an internal development of SANS, of its internal security. He wonders why the prosecutor’s office has not filed charges, since espionage is a serious crime.

There should have been arrests immediately, according to the head of the internal committee in the National Assembly.

Last week, after an action by the specialized prosecutor’s office in SANS, it became clear that two agents from the National Security Service were spies for Russia. One is the head of a department, the other – of a sector in SANS. A day later, they were removed from the agency, but were not detained or charged.

An employee of the Ministry of Defense and the first secretary of the Russian embassy in Bulgaria were also accused of espionage. He will be declared a persona non grata by our Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

You have to think rationally. DB we are adamant that we must work for Macedonia and Albania to become members of the EU as soon as possible, but we can not ignore that the topic is important and emotional for the Bulgarian people. All my life I have heard at home that my grandfather was orphaned “because of desolate Macedonia”. But Bulgaria has a strategic interest in being surrounded by friends, Atanasov stressed.
