The Serie A League announced that the match between Atalanta and Como, which completes the fifth round of the tournament, has been postponed until Tuesday 24th due to the torrential rain that fell in Bergamo.
A statement from the Serie A League said that the match scheduled for Monday at the Gewiss Stadium was postponed until tomorrow at 20:45 Italian time after referee Paride Tremolada confirmed that the pitch did not offer suitable conditions.
Tremolada walked around the Gewiss Stadium pitch twice with Dutchman Marten de Roon and Patrick Cutrone, captains of Atalanta and Como respectively, before deciding to postpone the match.
Atalanta, who have six points on their side, like Roma, Hellas Verona, Fiorentina and Bologna, will be looking to win tomorrow to catch Juventus and Empoli on the podium, while Como is second to last with two points, the same as bottom club Cagliari.
