BERGAMO (ITALPRESS) – A fundamental victory that relaunches Atalanta’s Champions League ambitions. Gian Piero Gasperini’s team wins 5-0 against Frosinone thanks to goals from Koopmeiners (penalty), Ederson, De Ketelaere, Zappacosta and Holm and overtakes Bologna to go -1 from fourth place. Fifth defeat for Frosinone, now just two points away from the relegation zone. No calculations, Gasperini chose the best possible formation with Scamacca as the only offensive reference supported by De Ketelaere and Koopmeiners, Di Francesco instead responded with a 4-3-2-1 that was not very offensive, with space for Cheddira in attack with Soulè in the attacking midfield. The match lasted practically a quarter of an hour, in the 6th minute of the game Holm got a penalty (foul by Lusuardi) which was then converted by Koopmeiners, his fourth consecutive goal in three games. The conceded goal demoralized a Frosinone team who conceded two more goals within a minute: Ederson was able to exploit a cross from Ruggeri, De Ketelaere unloaded a shot from the edge that Turati could not stop. Bergamo’s third goal was a sort of sentence, only Mazzitelli tried to give a shock to his team with a couple of insertions: the first was intercepted by Carnesecchi, the second conclusion was instead lost over the crossbar. In the second half the guests were unable to give the change of pace that was expected, Atalanta simply managed the advantage without ever risking: ten minutes from the end Ghedjemis attempted a shot from distance, but Carnesecchi stretched out to avoid scored the goal of the guest number 29. Closing the evening were first Zappacosta and then Holm for the final 5-0. Also witnessing the tenth victory of the season was co-chairman Sephen Pagliuca.
