The previous year there was a rapprochement between the Chaparral Mayor’s Office and that embassy, this time it was the turn of another southern municipality to promote some initiatives.
With a visit to the Polish Embassy in Bogotá, Miller Aldana Castro, mayor of Ataco, together with the Head of the Municipal Recreation, Culture and Sports Office, took the first step to start managing projects in sports and music.
Regarding the meeting with Pawel Woźny, Polish ambassador in Colombia, the president from Tolima was satisfied, since, in his opinion, there is a willingness on the part of the European authority to lend a hand.
And it is that according to the burgomaster, Woźny would have given the “green light” for the administration of southern Tolima to present the respective project, in which resources of the order of 20 thousand dollars would be contributed, which translates into around $94 million .
“The main issue of the Embassy is that they are supporting sports schools with staff including Polish instructors and the idea was that, to make a request mainly for this issue of sports schools,” said Aldana Castro.
And he added: “The issue of music was also discussed, we are adapting a site for the school in the municipality, and we asked how they could help us with instruments.”
Thus, the step to follow, according to the mayor, is to take the project, which will benefit around 500 children and young people, to the Foreign Ministry with the aim of advancing a kind of permit and later transfer it to the Embassy of Poland. ,
“We invited the ambassador to Ataco and he agreed to schedule to see if he would come and visit us, they have not given us the money, but he told us to do the project that would help us get that done,” Aldana Castro said.
another project
The construction of 1,170 sanitary units in rural areas, and which is estimated to benefit more than 3,000 people, is another of the initiatives, described by the president as one of his government flags, and which he hopes to culminate in 2023.
According to the burgomaster, the previous week the construction of the sample sanitary unit began, that is, the first, located in a house located on the Santiago Pérez – Polecito road.
“It is a project that we have been working on for two years and the pandemic and the rains did not let us start,” said Aldana Castro, who also mentioned that the resources were approved by the Collegiate Body of Administration and Decision (Ocad), when dealing with a contribution from the national government.
He also assured that there are two phases. The first corresponds to 528 sanitary units distributed in 47 villages, while the second phase includes 642 sanitary units for 62 villages.
“It is my flagship plan, in most rural areas there are no sanitary units, it is a project of primary need, one of the projects most anticipated by the communities,” said Aldana Castro regarding the relevance of the process.
It should be noted that on the subject, in the Electronic System for Public Procurement, Secop 1, there is documentation indicating that the Ataco Sanitary Units Consortium, whose legal representative is Diana Bolaños, was awarded the contract for the construction of sanitary units in the rural area of the municipality, for $11,216,048,998.
Through resolution 315 of 2022, issued on August 11 of the year in question, the contract was awarded, with a term of 10 months, to the only proponent, made up of Proyectizamos Zomac SAS (70%), Ingetrans Zomac SAS (25 %) and Ingsa SAS (5%), legally represented by Diego Reyes, James Hincapié and Humberto Cruz, respectively.
According to the document of previous studies, which was attached to the public bidding process, the sanitary unit booth includes: foundations, masonry, veneers, floors, zinc tile roof, toilet, shower, sink, laundry – dishwasher, tank 500 liters on column, plumbing and electrical connections.
Likewise, there is talk of a reinforced concrete treatment system that includes a gas trap, septic tank, anaerobic filter and an infiltration field or absorption well.
