At the Russian borders recorded a high level of radiation

Excess levels of radioactive substances recorded at Russian borders. According to The Barents Observer, the changes were recorded by radiation monitoring sensors in Norway, Finland and Sweden.

So, Norwegian observers near the border with the Russian Kola Peninsula detected iodine-131, while specialists from Finland and Sweden found cesium-134, cesium-137, cobalt-60 and ruthenium-103 – the data were recorded in early June. After analyzing, experts from the Netherlands came to the conclusion that the radionuclides came from the west of Russia, and scientists called the damage to the fuel cell at the NPP a possible cause of the release.

The Roshydromet responded – they noted that no excess of radioactive particles was detected in the Baltic Sea region, and the Rosenergoatom stated that there were no accidents at nuclear plants in the north-west of Russia in June, emissions at the stations did not exceed the control values.
