/ world today news/ A fateful decision for Ukraine was discussed at the NATO summit. Andrei Perla listed the main scenarios for the development of the war against Russia that the collective West may have considered during the meeting in Vilnius. The first option is the most worrying. Only Poland would be happy to implement it.
A NATO summit was held in Vilnius on July 11-12, the main topic of which was, of course, the conflict in Ukraine. The results of this meeting can largely predetermine the further course of the confrontation, Tsargrad political observer Andrey Perla emphasized on the air of the show “Hidden Meanings”.
These results of the conference, which were announced publicly, are of little interest. In fact, the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance once again obediently confirmed their determination to help the regime in Kiev in any way in the war against Russia.
The issue of Ukraine joining NATO is frozen for an unknown future: Kiev is still promised membership in the organization, but again no deadlines or other details have been announced.
What matters most is what remains behind the scenes at the summit. Most likely, the members of the alliance have decided the course on which the conflict will develop in the future. It is already obvious that “the long awaited” a counteroffensive by the armed forces of Ukraine failed, so a new strategy had to be developed.
Andrey Perla on the air of “First Russian” shared the most likely versions of what tacit agreements might have been adopted during the NATO summit.
Is the West ready to strike directly?
He proposed that the collective West consider three working options for how to proceed in the face of Ukraine’s apparent inability to win on the battlefields:
First option: as long as our satellite, our source of cannon fodder, armed with our weapons, something does not work out, there is no way, we will have to go to war ourselves. Let’s take Poland for example. I am absolutely convinced that this will not happen. They don’t hold back, as they say. And apart from Poland, no one is domestically ready for it.
The second option is to agree to Russia’s basic terms. This is also most likely not going to happen, because for the NATO countries it is tantamount to saying publicly to the whole world and to their voters: we lost.
The third scenario: some cunning agreement in the spirit of the Minsk agreements. Most likely, the West will prefer exactly this tactic, but it will not lead anywhere, as Moscow has already learned from the bitter experience, the expert added.
Thus, all three options for the US and its satellites are not viable. Only the last, fourth, remains. According to Andrei Perla, he is the most likely:
Russia will be forced, after rejecting the West’s offer of a deal, to continue fighting and launch its own offensive.
What’s the point of the deal?
As the enemy leans toward a deal with Moscow, the Tsargrad observer shared “your absolute confidence” that in the following days after the NATO summit, the leadership of the alliance will formulate a proposal for the so-called peace settlement.
A number of political scientists both in Russia and abroad have detailed the likely terms of this expected treaty. And quite a few patriotic and, as we still say politely, liberal experts agree that the essence of the initiative of the West will look like this: they say, let’s stop at the borders, where the Russians now stand, Perla noted.
He also referred to the prediction of his colleague, political scientist Sergey Schmidt, who previously described how events within the negotiation process could begin to develop further:
The West will have to fool everyone at once. On the one hand, he must give Ukraine and his own voters a demagogic promise that someday Kiev will return these territories. On the other hand, he should try to give Russia equally demagogic assurances that it will not start another war.
The State Department is preparing the ground
Meanwhile, the US authorities did two mutually exclusive things. Thus, the state secretary of the country, Anthony Blinken, unexpectedly addressed the Russian people. He earnestly asked the citizens of Russia not to consider America their enemy.
As we blinked in some bewilderment, not understanding what the head of the State Department was really trying to say, he continued. Let’s say we, the United States, decide with a heavy heart to supply Ukraine with cluster bombs. It is said that the reason is that there are not enough 155 mm shells, there are not enough conventional weapons, so they will temporarily transfer to the armed forces of Ukraine ammunition banned in many countries, – reminded the observer of “First Russian”.
He stated that this feigned friendliness of Blinken towards the Russians was a veiled invitation to dialogue on Ukraine. And the threat of open supplies of cluster bombs is an attempt to take the most advantageous position within this negotiation process, to create a new bargaining chip.
