The director and producer of the video “Only a Novel” is Samanta Tina in collaboration with Aiga Baikov. The main image of the man is played by Edmund Goldman, but the rest of the roles were selected through a special competition. Samanta Tīna says that the selection process was not easy, but the result was worth it – although none of the women in the video is a professional actress, all of them fit in the characters perfectly. “It was important for me to select each hero of the video myself, so I conducted a selection competition with the help of the social platform” Instagram “. The response was very high – women from all over Latvia applied. As a result, eight video heroines were selected, which I first met in person only on the day of the filming. I was very happy that everything in life looked like in the submitted photos, and during the filming I felt like a professional actress! In turn, I found the protagonist of the main male role of the video with the help of friends. Edmunds is a professional model who knows his job, so he managed to feel the image of a bad guy perfectly – every look and movement he managed exactly as I had imagined, creating the idea of this video story! ”
