Pfizer BioNTech vaccine, the German company plans to provide data on immunization with its Covid vaccine on children between the ages of 5 and 11 at the end of September. The dose for that age group will be ten micrograms, which is one third of that for adults, said Özlem Türeci, co-founder of the German pharmaceutical company at Bild am Sonntag. Data on vaccination of younger children will be made available later this year. “For this group we will further reduce the dose,” he added. BioNTech announced on 10 September its intention to seek approval of the Covid vaccine for children between the ages of 5 and 11 in the coming weeks.
