China Economic Net, Beijing, October 25, on October 24 the National Energy Administration released the national energy industry statistics from January to September.
At the end of September, the country’s cumulative installed electricity generation capacity was approximately 2.48 billion kilowatts, up 8.1% year-on-year. Among these, the installed wind power capacity was approximately 350 million kilowatts, with a year-over-year increase of 16.9%; installed solar power generation capacity was approximately 360 million kilowatts, a year-over-year increase of 28.8%.
From January to September, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment nationwide was 2,799 hours, down 87 hours from the same period last year. Among these, the thermal energy was 3,295 hours, a decrease of 49 hours compared to the same period of the previous year; nuclear power was 5,576 hours, a decrease of 267 hours compared to the same period of the previous year; wind energy was 1,616 hours, down by 24 hours compared to the same period of the previous year.
From January to September, the energy projects of the country’s leading power generation companies completed an investment of 392.6 billion yuan, up 25.1% year-over-year. Among them, solar power generation was 132.8 billion yuan, a year-over-year increase of 352.6%. Investment in power grid projects was 315.4 billion yuan, up 9.1% year-over-year.
