SA born December 31, 1988 in Bobo-Dioulasso, domiciled in sector 24, single and father of one child. He was arrested on November 23, 2023 for having paid for chairs and a gas bottle stolen from the hands of a local boy. “It’s his mother that I know a little well, because she always came to pay for sorghum at our house,” SA explained to the judge. And to continue: “I paid 4 chairs at 15,000 FCFA and they are old plastic chairs and a gas bottle at 20,000 FCFA. I wanted to pay for the chairs at the market, but the little one told me that his friend sells “France goodbye” chairs and I asked him how much he will sell me for the 4 chairs. He told me that the 4 chairs will cost me 15,000 FCFA. Subsequently I told him at the end of the month I will take the 4 chairs. On the 10th of the month, I paid for the gas bottle and I made him understand that for the chairs, I will pay at the end of the month. And on the night of November 22, 2023, I was able to take the 4 chairs and gave him the corresponding amount. KS owner of the property carried out an investigation with his little sister and they saw me when I came home with the chairs.” Having recognized the facts, the criminal court sentenced SA to a prison sentence of 24 months and a fine of 1,000,000 FCFA.
