A month ago, the Parquet de Chartres (Eure-et-Loir) signed an agreement for the installation of the anti-rapprochement bracelet device (BAR) in Eure-et-Loir.
This Friday, March 5, 2021, the judicial court of Chartres requested and ordered a first installation of the anti-reconciliation bracelet in the department.
In the context of an immediate appearance, an individual was tried for “habitual violence by spouse and violence by ascendant”. The man was sentenced to three years imprisonment, including one year with a probationary suspension.
His probationary stay will be reinforced by the anti-reconciliation bracelet.
On his release from detention, an anti-reconciliation bracelet will be placed on him in order to continue to ensure the protection of the victim.
The author and the victim geolocated to avoid repeating the facts
This device is placed on both the perpetrator and the victim. The anti-reconciliation bracelet is geolocated, in order toavoid repeating the facts. Two zones are defined: that of pre-alert and alert. A signal is sent to the police as soon as the perpetrator enters one of these areas.
For the victim, this device takes the form a mobile phone, also with a geolocation system.
