At the carnival in Dolní Újezd, a world record was set for shooting the mayor

A procession of masquerades headed by a caged lion, principal, mimes, clowns and monkeys passed through part of the village and headed for the inn by the river. Even before the carnival feasting began, people witnessed several circus acts. A lion jumped through a lit hoop, a tightrope walker tried to cross, say Desinka, the rope, and in the end a world record was achieved. Mayor Miloš Vrabec was shot from a giant cannon ten thousand lion’s ears in the distance.
