This became clear during the 5th meeting of Monitoring Committee of the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas (SPRZSR 2023-2027).
The Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Lozana Vasileva explained that the funding will be directed to the interventions most expected by farmers and small communities. “We are launching multiple premiums in the shortest possible time so that farmers can get the necessary push towards sustainable and modern development,” she stressed.
Among the first receptions that will open at the beginning of the year is the modernization of the irrigation infrastructure with a budget of 195.5 mln. leva.
In the month of January 2025 with a close budget 740 million leva. intake for Community-Led Local Development strategies will begin from the Rural Development Program 2014-2020. Investments under the approach will be directed to the development of local economies, with an emphasis on increasing employment and income, improving social services and living conditions.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister Vasileva stated that the Governing Body of the Strategic Plan complied to the maximum extent with the opinions of the agricultural community, as selection criteria were previously discussed in Thematic Working Groups with wide participation.
