Simon Cowell, 62, and his longtime partner Lauren Silverman will be crowned. The news of the engagement was confirmed by a spokesman for the judge from “America’s Got Talent” to CNN on Wednesday.
The two have been together for 8 years. The music mogul fell to his knees and asked the fateful question in Barbados. He did so in the presence of their son Eric, who is seven years old, as well as Lauren’s son from a previous relationship – Adam, 16 years old.
Cowell claimed he did not believe in marriage, but apparently reevaluated his views after falling in love with Lauren, who was stunned by the surprising proposal. The American press writes that she cried after he made her the offer.

The creator of “X Factor” and his girlfriend got Eric in 2014. When Cowell was recently asked on the radio show of his colleague from “American Idol” Ryan Seacrest if he plans to marry Silverman, he replied: “Let’s put it this way, I wouldn’t expect her to be a single mother“.
In November, he also told Britain’s OK magazine that he and his partner were “closer than ever” and that “the romance between them is still alive”.
“Covid-19 was the real test. In moments like this, when we were all closed for a long time, you know if you really enjoy your company or not. It was like that with us.”.
A friend of the couple told People magazine: “They are both super happy. They have been together for a long time and adore each other, so this is not a big surprise for their loved ones“.
After asking for her hand, Simon was spotted riding a bicycle in Malibu. He met Lauren when she was still married to real estate developer and millionaire Andrew Silverman.

Their affair became public and Simon’s life changed at the end of July 2013, when the news of Lauren’s pregnancy appeared. “This was not something I had planned.
