The ties of interaction with the city of Ioannina were reaffirmed by the tourism market of Cyprus, during the 24th International Tourism Exhibition “Travel Expo Cyprus 2023” held in Nicosia.
The municipality of Ioanniton invests steadily in a bilateral relationship of cooperation, both in the field of Tourism and in the fields of Education and Culture, which are comparative advantages of the continental capital.
In the context of “City Diplomacy”, in November 2021, he presented the destination “Ioannina” in Nicosia and, at the same time, organized business meetings (B2Bs) with Tourism professionals. Last year, it hosted a delegation of Cypriot journalists, in order to get to know our city and contribute to its tourism development, while the municipality was then represented at the international exhibition of the Cypriot capital.
The next step in the approach was achieved by participating in this year’s international exhibition, where an undiminished interest in the tourism product of Ioannina was recorded from the visitors who spoke with representatives of the municipality of Ioannina, but also during the meetings held separately with tourism professionals in Cyprus.
The municipality was represented by the Deputy Mayor of Tourism Georgios Lolis and the Tourism Department executive Athena Tsampalas.
The hospitality at her stand was provided by the Region of Epirus, which participated as a co-exhibitor of the EOT.
